MAPLESOFT SUPPORTS

THE OTTAWA HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

Ottawa, Ontario, October 19th, 2006:
Maplesoft Consulting has promised to support The Ottawa Hospital Foundation, specifically in the area of Research and Development. The Foundation’s goal is to encourage community support for patient care, equipment, and research at the Ottawa Hospital and its partners: the Ottawa Health Research Institute, The Rehabilitation Centre, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and the University of Ottawa Eye Institute.

When asked why it was important to contribute towards the Foundation and more specifically to Research and Development, President and CEO of Maplesoft, Dragan Veljovic said:

“We strongly believe that no good hospital can survive without support from its community. We want to contribute towards Research and Development because it attracts and retains the best medical professionals from around the world. We feel that our contribution will go a long way in helping The Ottawa Hospital Foundation and its goals.”

In light of ever expanding costs in health care, corporate donations greatly help improve hospitals’ ability to offer treatment. “The Foundation really needs the help of the community to raise essential funds for health care,” stated Susan Doyle, President and CEO of The Ottawa Hospital Foundation.

Mr. Veljovic has stated that over the next five years Maplesoft has committed a generous monetary contribution to this noble cause.
